This in-person course includes employee knowledge, responsibilities and training when preparing, handling and serving food to the public. The food handler training or education course includes the following basic food safety principles:
(A) Foodborne disease outbreak
(B) Good hygienic practices
(C) Preventing contamination by employees
(D) Cross Contamination
(E) Time and temperature
If you do not wish to attend an in-person class, go to www.statefoodsafety.com and take the Missouri, Cass County online course for $25.00. Upon passing the course, bring in a copy of the food handler certificate to obtain a food handler card.
Note: Temporary online certificates are accepted by the Cass County Health Department as valid certification for 30 days from the date test is successfully passed.
