Mission Statement

The mission of Cass County Emergency Management is to protect the lives and property of all Cass Countians when major disasters threaten public safety  in the county.  Emergency Management responds to two types of disasters-  natural and manmade.  Natural disasters are major snow and/or ice storms, floods, tornadoes and/or severe weather, as well as the threat of an earthquake.  Manmade disasters, also known as technological emergencies, may include hazardous material, nuclear and/or biological hazards.  Emergency Management is also responsible for developing a County Emergency Operations Plan which coordinates the actions of Cass County government departments and agencies in the event of any emergency requiring our response.
